In the first half of 2017, the study "Opportunities and Challenges of the Brazilian NDC commitments for the business sector" was launched. The study provided an overview of the market trends that would come out of the new business, as well as the structures and opportunities that emerged in the needs to meet the goals promised by Brazil under the Paris Agreement.
The current work “Long-term low carbon development strategies” is somehow a logical continuation of the first effort. Used in the same five sectors (energy, transport, forestry, industry and agriculture) that we consider to be more crucial due to their importance and relevance in relation to the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by the Brazilian economy.
